Consciousness
We have no guidelines to trust on our own instinct but tend to apply all kinds of thinking on our own thoughts like speaking and listening at the same time on the phone. Once you start thinking about things, you worry whether you’ve thought enough. But the more you think, the more you realize you could not take all into consideration. THIS IS THE PRICE FOR YOU TO KNOW WHAT YOU’RE KNOWING, TO FEEL WHAT YOU’RE FEELING, TO PUT TWO LIVES INTO ONE, symbols representing realities. Symbols don’t have the same values as realities. You should awaken from this illusion. If you awaken from this illusion, understand black implies white, self implies others, birth implies death, you can feel yourself not a stranger in the world, not something on probation, not something arrive by fluke, feel your existence as absolutely fundamental to this universe. What you basically are, deep in, is the fabric of existence itself. In Hindu, the world is the drama of God, who in Indian philosophy is the self. Realities itself is gorgeous and full of joy.
Every night you can dream, and suppose one night you can dream a dream of 75 years ahead. You would dream to live whatever life you’d like, but in the end you would dream to live the exact life that you are living now. Why? Because you’re really dreaming. You’re dreaming; you’re playing; you’re acting, but you only pretend you’re not. Persona, in Greek, means mask, see?
There is a central self, or God; it’s all of us; it’s playing all the parts; it’s playing the games of hide and seek with itself. In the end it will wake up to itself. When you’re ready to wake up, you’ll wake up. Else, you’re teasing yourself. You won’t wake up before you feel you have to pay a price for it. The sense of guilt and anxiety is to keep the game of disguise going on. You won’t wake up until you feel deserved. Everything is really nothing but a good laugh. You’re simply playing your own game. It’s stupid to say that you have a problem because you’re the problem. Do you define yourself as a victim of the world or the world itself. You feel life is a trap, something else, god, mechanism, imposes on you. But you are responsible for this life, whether comedy or tragedy, you did it. It is the basis for behaviour which is more fundamental than to define ourselves as miserable victims.
This is an alternative myth to those ceramic and automatic myths. Life is a big act, behind the big act is the player, and the player is you; only you are playing hide and seek, the basics of all games. You are deliberately forgetting who you really are, or what you really are. Your central self is the foundation of the universe, the ground of being. That’s the thought in the back of your mind, something you know deep down but can’t admit. In order to bring it to the front, you have to get out of the game. The problem is that we identify in our experience what we do and what happens to us. We have certain actions, we feel in control, as voluntary; other things are not. But the dividing line is very thin. For example, when you breathe, you do it without even noticing, so is it voluntary or involuntary? Or your heart beating, you don’t even have to notice, so voluntary or involuntary?
You find your body knows you are one with the universe; your circulation of blood is in line with the light of the sun, because your organism is continuous with the total organism of the cosmos. It’s you who’s playing a game. There’s no such thing as separate event. You’re omnipotent. You just do it, but do not have to translate to language. You are super-consciously performing all various things of the organism. Does it astonish you that you are the absolutely fantastic universe. This organism is a continuous organism. We pretend we’re something in this body, the ego; it’s like a focus of attention, like a radar riveting in a tiny spot, but if you identify yourself as an trouble suitor, you’ll be in a perpetual anxiety. Otherwise, you’ll find how harmonious it all is, all functioning together, even for animals eating others up. This course of life is healthy and harmonious. Everything is magnificent and free from blemishes as patterns in waves. This world is really okay, can’t be anything else; otherwise, it couldn’t exist. The truth is the experience you are having is exactly as God’s. When you find that out, you love yourself silly.
When people discover how big the universe was. We thought how tiny and unimportant we are. We put ourselves down. But this tiny thing can evoke everything in the universe. This genius is not some stranger in it. This is the whole show and realizing its own presence. Tt is the state of affair, and the consciousness is the divine state. The moment you start practicing yoga or indulge in spiritual practices, you got on our way. Buddha said we suffer because of desires, if we quit desiring, we suffer no more. But what if you desire not to desire [lol]. You can’t give up desire, it’s already desire. Or you want to be unselfish? Is that another way to beat the game? Are you in the competition with the universe? Then you don’t understand you are it. You are one, just like poles of the same magnet. You show you don’t know what’s going on. The more assiduous you practice these things, the phonier it gets. If you think you have a problem, show me your ego, i’ll see that thing. When you try to look for your ego, you find that it is not there. The harder you look, the more you realize you can’t find it. There’s not a separate you, your mind is all that is. If a person believes the world is flat, you can’t not talk him out of it. You only can say let’s go and find the edges then. When you get back to the same point you without seeing any edges, you convince the man that the earth is round. people can’t be talked out of illusions.
This now moment is eternity. Although we have somehow convinced ourselves that this moment is ordinary and ought to be changed. You don’t need to do anything at all, you must not try to do anything, because that’s something. if you understand that, you wakes up. There’s no way to be here, because you’re already there”
